Now, let’s proceed with transferring Cosmos (ATOM) from Binance to your Ledger hardware wallet.

Transfer Cosmos (ATOM) From Binance To Ledger: Step-By-Step Tutorial

💻 On Desktop/Laptop

Step 1: Add Cosmos (ATOM) App On Ledger Device:

To add Cosmos (ATOM) app on your Ledger hardware wallet, follow these steps:

• Log into Ledger Live
• Connect your Ledger device to your computer and enter your PIN
• Add Cosmos (ATOM) App on your Ledger device
  • To add Cosmos (ATOM) app on device, go to Accounts (on the left menu)
  • Click on Add Accounts on the upper right
  • A drop down box is displayed.
• Under Crypto asset tab, search for Cosmos (ATOM) and select it.
  • Click on Continue
• Under Device tab: Allow Ledger Manager on device by clicking on the left & right buttons at the same time to authenticate the transaction.
  • App installation progress bar is displayed on your Ledger device and on the Ledger Live dashboard
  • Next, on your Ledger device, it says Open App Cosmos
• Open the Cosmos app on your Ledger device by clicking on the left and right buttons at the same time
  • Your Ledger device now readys: Cosmos Ready
• Under Accounts: Add New Account is displayed. Name the account as Cosmos or as desired.
  • Click Add account
  • Account added successfully message is displayed.
  • Click on: Done
• Now that you’ve successfully added the Cosmos (ATOM) app on your Ledger device, you’re ready to retrieve your Cosmos wallet address

Step 2: Get Your Cosmos Wallet Address:

To get your Cosmos wallet address, follow these steps:

• Go to: Receive (on the left menu)
• A drop down box is displayed.
• Under: Account to credit, search and select Cosmos (ATOM)
• Next, click Continue
• Ensure your Ledger device is still connected to your computer and reads “Cosmos Ready”
• On your Ledger device:
  • It reads Please Review.
  • Click the right button to display the address on your device
• On the Ledger live dashboard:
  • Your Cosmos address is also displayed
  • Click on the copy button displayed next to the address
  • Address copied is displayed briefly
• Next: Confirm the address displayed on the Ledger live dashboard matches the address on your Ledger device.
• On your Ledger device, click on the right button to Approve
• Authenticate the transaction by pressing the left and right buttons simultaenously
• Address shared securely is displayed
• Click on the Done button on the Ledger Live dashboard

Step 3: Withdraw Cosmos (ATOM) from Binance

• Log into your Binance account. Don’t have a Binance account? Click here

 On Desktop/Laptop

• Go to Wallet > Fiat and Spot

• Your ATOM balance is displayed in your Fiat and Spot wallet

• Click on the Withdraw button

• Enter your Cosmos wallet address in the withdrawal address field

• Select ATOM Cosmos as the Network

• Memo: enter 0 or any random number

• Enter the amount of Cosmos (ATOM) you want to withdraw from Binance. Double-check the amount to ensure that it is correct.

• After entering the withdrawal address and amount, Binance will show you a confirmation screen. Review the details of your transaction and click on “Confirm” to proceed.

Step 4: Confirm the withdrawal via email & authenticator

• Binance will send a confirmation email to your registered email address. Click on the verification link in the email to confirm the withdrawal.
• Enter additional security codes as required such as the SMS code and Google Authentication code
• Once you confirm the withdrawal, Binance will process the transaction. Wait for a few minutes for the transaction to complete.

Step 5: Check your Ledger Cosmos account to confirm receipt

• Once the transaction is complete, check your Ledger wallet to confirm that you have received the Cosmos (ATOM) you withdrew from Binance.
